Watts Up?: Chocopalooza

Chocopalooza

While in Illinois, Grandma, Kimmie, Allison and I attended and participated in the local library's Chocopalooza Night. I think 17 ladies brought in their favorite chocolate entry, and we all tried each other's and enjoyed an evening of chocolate and visiting.

As the event drew to an end, we all voted, and I was totally surprised when my chocolate cake balls were announced as the winning entry! (now I can tell people my cake balls are "award winning"!)

What a fun evening!

The Prize ~ A basket filled with chocolate treats!

I love how the chocolate fountain mimics the fountain outside!

Wonderful music was played the entire evening!

KEVIN - Kevin has been with John Deere now for over 8 years. He really enjoys working there. He took a new position with them in December that moved us across the state. He now works with the combine side of the house. He still travels occasionally and has added two new destinations to his ever growing list of places he's visited, China and Brazil. He has also been to Texas, Russia, North Carolina, Arizona, North Dakota, New York, Canada, Florida, Germany and France.

DIANA - I miss working at Lincoln since our move, but have been substituting regularly since February. I have. Applied for a few positions, but nothing so far.

BRINDLE - Brindle is 151/2 years old now. She is slowing down quite a bit, and Kevin calls her our "prescription puppy" . We give her medicine to help with her joint problems, the cold and damp bother her some. She still goes for walks although they aren't as far or as fast as they used to be.

PUDDY - Puddy is 13 years old, getting fatter by the day, and is such a loving cat. He doesn't ask to go out as much as he used to, which is good because he is a terror to our neighborhood!

FRANK - Frank grew by leaps and bounds, and is now at 86 pounds. He is so much fun to have around, and such a good dog. He stays in the yard without a fence, walks without pulling (mostly) and loves water and playing with his tennis ball. (obsessed really)
